The San Jose Police Department Western Division consists of approximately 638 street miles and is divided into four policing districts: Sam, Lincoln, Nora and Frank. This division borders Santa Clara, Saratoga, Campbell, Cupertino and Los Gatos and it’s area attractions include the San Jose Arena / HP Pavilion, the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, the Valley Medical Center and the Valley Fair Mall.

The SJPD Western Division is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 4 p.m to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Community members should note that its hours of operation are subject to the availability of adequate patrol staffing. This location provides maps and directions, can answer questions about the community, provides information and referrals to other service agencies and offers access to the Megans Law Database. Other services, such as fingerprinting, acceptance of evidence and traffic citation sign-offs are also offered.
The SJPD Western Division is currently led by Captain Tony Ciaburro. Captain Ciaburro first joined the SJPD in 1989 and was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 1992. In 2003 he was promoted to lieutenant and spent the next four years primarily commanding the downtown area patrol division. He was promoted to Captain in 2011. Throughout his tenure he has received two day-to-day excellence awards and has taught a number of classes and academies. He has a bachelors and masters degree from San Jose State University in the field of criminal justice and is also a 2011 graduate of the FBI National Academy.
