An Uber Driver who allegedly assaulted a Mineta San Jose International Airport employee is being sought by San Jose Police Department investigators.
The incident is said to have happened after the airport official waved the driver down for speeding, sources say.
According to a report by MercuryNews.com the employee observed the ride-share driver speeding through the ground transportation pick-up area; they then followed the Uber vehicle into the rental car area. Mercury News further reports the airport employee got out of their car so they could photograph the suspect car’s license plate.
Police reports indicate the Uber driver was none-too-happy about any of this; that man exited his vehicle and he’s now wanted on assault charges.
The suspect is described as man in his 40s who was last seen driving a Mercedes. His photo has not yet been made public. Uber officials have remained tight-lipped regarding the alleged incident.
