Sources within the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department have confirmed that three suspects have been booked at the San Jose Jail after leading deputies on high-speed chase.
The incident took place in late November, according to a report by the Mercury News. The incident began in the early morning hours of Nov. 24, when a patrol car tried to pull over a vehicle as part of a routine traffic stop.
The driver, however, had other ideas and laid his foot on the gas pedal. His speed reached roughly 90 miles per hour, deputies said, and it spanned streets. Sources close to the investigation say it didn’t come to a stop until the driver crashed the car into a stop sign.
The suspects attempted to flee but their efforts were fruitless. One woman and two men were taken into custody, the Mercury News reports, and they’ve been booked on charges of resisting arrest, conspiracy and possession of a stolen vehicle.
