Members of the San Jose Police Department have responded to numerous calls in the past week. Below are just a few of the incidents officers have assisted with.
The first took place on Jan. 13 when an unidentified male exposed himself to a woman on Hiller Street. The victim was able to get the man’s license plate number. An arrest has not yet been made.
The San Jose PD Western Division reported arresting an armed man who had attacked two people. Two additional people were taken into custody later that afternoon. One was found to have an outstanding warrant. The other has been charged with possession of narcotics. All four men were transported to the Santa Clara County Jail to be booked and processed. Bail information was not immediately available. It is unclear which, if any of the defendants remain in custody. Individuals who are not bonded out will be arraigned by a judge within three business days. Those who are able to hire a San Jose bondsman usually have their court date delayed by approximately 30 days.
Those were not the only arrests made by the SJPD, though. Another suspect was reportedly arrested and charged with residential burglary. The following day two additional individuals assaulted a victim with some sort of object. Those suspects remain at large. Later in the week another man robbed two pedestrians. The robber was reported to be in possession of a weapon at the time of the attack. Police are requesting anyone with information relating to this crime contact their office. Tips can be placed anonymously.
Later in the week officers responded to a call pertaining to a gang related stabbing. The victim’s injuries were non life threatening. It is unclear whether the assailant has been taken into custody.
Lastly, police responded to a tip regarding the location of a stolen vehicle. Officers say the vehicle in question is believed to be tied to nine other burglaries. Four people were tracked down and arrested as a result of the tip. Those individuals were arrested and taken to the Santa Clara County Jail. A spokesperson for the jail said they are currently awaiting arraignment.
