Representatives from the Cupertiono Police Department said that three men who are believed to be tied to a recent home burglary have been booked and processed at the county lock up.
All three men are said to be from the East Palo Alto area; it wasn’t immediately clear if all of the men had been in trouble with the law in the past. One of the suspects was found to be out on bail bonds from a prior burglary arrest.
Cupertino PD officials say they were tipped off about the crime last Thursday night, when a resident called 911 dispatch to report that two suspicious men were seen jumping over the fence toward a neighbor’s house. A vehicle was also seen parked on the street directly outside the residence.
Officers arrived on scene a short time later. The driver was the first person to be detained, they said, and authorities then set up a perimeter, entered the home and arrested the other two suspects.
The now-defendants are currently being held at the Santa Clara County Jail.
