FAQ: For a San Jose bond, will I need to post collateral?
Not necessarily. Most of our clients find they are eligible for no-collateral bail bonds. In this type of bond, also called a “signature bond”, the signature of the person who signs the bail bond contract is promise enough that the defendant will go to court when needed. If the defendant’s bail has been set higher than $100,000, however, collateral may be required.
