A spokesperson for the Santa Clara County Main Jail has confirmed that at 51-year-old burglary suspect has been booked into their facility.
The incident happened in mid-May, according to a report by Palo Alto online and it began when police received a call from a person who said they witnessed a car burglary. The suspect used a rock to break one of the car’s windows, officers said; one the suspect broke the window he reached inside and took a duffle bag.
The witness then followed the suspect and watched him as he emptied it out.
Officers arrived a short time later and they were able to locate the suspect. That man, Jesse Aldan, was taken into custody without further incident. A search of the man’s pockets uncovered a volume of stolen items.
At the time Aldan was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail, it was determined that he was currently out on parole for a prior burglary conviction. Aldan was charged with a parole violation in addition to two new felony crimes. His bail bonds information was not immediately known.
